Monday, February 28th, 2005

I’m starting to learn the guitar. A friend lent me a good one and another friend showed me the all important G C and D chords. I just want to sing with the family every once in a while. I’m starting with 10-15 mins a day until my fingers can take more.

Well we had quite a weekend. Last Friday was mom’s 50th. Linus was cruising around the party sporting his new solo walking legs. My mother is a wonderful person full of strength and grace. She’s the most thoughtful person. It was a good time to honor her. That was […]

A Friend’s visit

Tuesday, February 15th, 2005

We had a good time last weekend spending time with our friends Dan and Kelly and their two kids. They are people at peace. I love the lives Christians can live. They are friends of ours from college back in Ames.

Development Process

Friday, February 4th, 2005

A friend of mine asked for some thoughts about good software development practice. Here is what I had to say.
Most of my own slant comes from what I’ve read. “The Pragmatic Programmer” and Joel and Martin Fowler’s website are the big sources.
Anyway here is what we do.
We use source control. We chose CVS because it […]
